The cognac added an interesting element, still not certain if it’s better for having it or not. Whatever the case, you should try for yourself.

Lots and lots of oaky barrel. Roasty, lots of tobacco.

Mane, this is old school FIS with some heat. Roasty, chalky,dry. Old school > new school. Non fuck boi approved.

Dark licorice and molasses heavy. Dark fruits and bitterness throughout. Nice barrel and a growing booziness on the back end. Smooth and heavy.

Barrel is almost completely gone. Overwhelming chocolate flavor. Some roasted character on the back.

Holy roast Batman. Don’t think age has done this beer any favors. Roast is overtaking the barrel. Honestly at this point might prefer a 3+ year aged rugular founders imperial Stout.

Ash, licorice, booze, brown dried cherries. From 2019, not the best aged, showing signs of oxidation but also still real good.
