Subtle cherry sweetness brings a different angle to the barrel notes. Bitter chocolate finish.

This may need some bit of time to settle the cherry flavors in, as its too much like the regular KBS. Left the coffee in the base, which makes it a bit bitter. Not bad.

12oz bottle. The initial nose & taste were a bit like an old dishrag, but that faded and the beer settled in with a nice melding of the chocolate, coffee, cherry & barrel. I rarely buy more than one of any coffee beer as I don’t want the caffeine… 4.18

This is really good. I was a little hesitant to try it because of the cherry but it’s really subtle and works really well in there.

Props to Richard F. for bringing this to my attention. The roasty coffee flavor you expect from KBS, but the sweet chocolate & tart cherry really shine through. Maybe my favorite KBS of all time, & that's saying a lot! Happy Post-Valentine's Day to me!
