Dark. Opaque. Garnet edges. Rich, malty nose. Flavor includes chocolate and cherry. Coffee in the background. Full body. Finishes well.

The cherry is definitely there but there is less cherry than I was expecting. Not as much bourbon character as traditional KBS. Aromas and flavors of dark chocolate, cherry, roasted malt, oak, coffee and light bourbon. Hides ABV fairly well.

Purchased from my favourite booze shop ever! I wonder how they make this… strong ABV yet lots of residual sweetness… lactose?

Smooth and creamy, whisky cherry, tastes like it’s on nitro.

Coffee upfront with dark chocolate and a hint of candied cherries. Warming. Not as much barrel as the KBSs typically have.

Very subtle cherry, get a lot of the chocolate and a good amount of barrel too. Another good varietal from Founders!
