A pedestrian BA offering from Founders. This was such an amazing beer 10 years ago. Now it’s a one-note malt bomb.

I didn't manage temperature right on this bottle. It started caramel then spent a long time tasting like sucking on oak before returning to pretty strong caramel flavors. Next bottle I'll keep it colder or start warmer.

Sweetness dominates the roast, barrel, hops, Scotch. Definitely caramel all the way around.

Sweet caramel, lighter bourbon touch, plenty of vanilla and quite a bit of oak. Tannins are oddly high.

Bourbon forward smell, body is thin! Pretty mild compared to other years. Malty sweetness is the major taste here. Big miss with this vintage.

This may have been a bad bottle. Just tasted off from what I remember or maybe less quality put into it with mass distribution.
