Lemony plus black pepper. Tasty but the lemon needs some time to mellow

19-20 season, unclear bottling date. Creamy, on the sweet side.

Tyrnilambic Baie D'Argousier (2021)
Dry, fruity. A bit more tart than my preference, but no problem.
Slightly more tart than I prefer but I mean, it’s still vigneronne
over 1 year ago
A better bottle, in a Monkish glass no less. Very mellow, cider-ish

There’s that odd sort of floral side note that pulls it down a notch. 4.1

Creamy. 19-20 but for an extra check in like the idiot I am

Super Blend - Akkurat 20th Anniversary
Earthy and floral, medicinal, bitter. Flat. Fun stuff.

Solodoming, 5000 and all that. Woody, fruity, that barrel! Great stuff. 4.6

Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2022)
This iteration was a bit shit. Artificial bourbon. No balance.
Ah no. Sort of creamy plus an artificial taste of… perfume?

Funk, green apples, minerals, light oxidization. Tartness almost into vinegar. While it is good it is also clear I much prefer 3F oude geuze. 4.15

This was the best of the lot of the mono blends. Soft, smooth, nimble. Oak, tartness - sure. But in an easy packaging (but still complex enough to retain interest). 4.15

Wine-ish, really dry. Astringent. White grapes. Some wood. Foamy. Works.

Clean, fruity, tart (pronounced acidity at the end). Apples galore.

50 Degrees N - 4 Degrees E (2020) (Cognac)
4.4. Light vinegar. Cognac barrels tasting of sherry or port? Fruity at least. Funky, sure.

Oude Geuze A L'Ancienne VAT 108bis Mono Blend (2018)
Tart apple, some citrus. A nice balance to it. 4.2

Still cellar digging and going through shit I never got around to drinking.

Really nice, white grapes and white wine. Low acidity, sweet, dry, musty. Slight cheese.

Solid but by no means a favourite. Yeasty, tart, light mustiness.

Oude Geuze Boon à L'Ancienne - VAT 109 Mono Blend (2016)
Tart, astringent, apples, light citrus. Dry and bitter, both pretty hard hitting. Mid-high carbs.

Oude Geuze Boon Black Label Edition N°6
Loads of green apples. Dry end, bitter end. Solid.

HORAL's Oude Geuze Mega Blend (2021)
The usual Geuze characteristics but sharper and overly carbonated.
Slightly tart, funky. Apples etc etc. Dry, musty. Bitter. Solid stuff.

Low carbonation. No burn, but also a bit low on flavors. 3.7

Thin hop water. Nice flavors just a bit too thin for me. The missus liked it though so that pulls it down s notch.

Citrus and a weird berry flavor I can’t place. Doesn’t taste artificial though

Ok but I expect more flavour out of 9%, halfway to TIPA territory. This tastes like an IPA.

Oude Kriek Boon à L’Ancienne (2018)
Cherrys, fruity with low tartness. Very simple snd one-dimensional. A weird side note. Not bothering with this despite not being bad. Into the drain.

Oranges, mango and overripe mandarines. Not as thicc as you’d expect for a tipa. Sweet.
