It's definitely different and definitely interesting. Took a minute to get used to but it's not bad. Barrel age not too heavy, doesn't overpower. Double ingredients makes the marzen a lot sweeter.

Really good! I usually stick with the authentic Munich festbiers but I made an exception for this one and am glad I did.

Rich, caramel a little bourbon and smooth. It may not be the ultimate that it claims to be it is damn good.

Pretty solid base beer, strong barrel presence. We need more of styles like this in spirit barrels.

Not a ton of the Oktoberfest taste. Lots of vanilla on the finish

There is a lot going on in this. Very strong bourbon, smooth, a bit boozy and a bit oaky!

Interesting concoction- barrel aged marzen. Strong bourbon thru out with initial octoberfest/marzen intro. Now need to try the regular founders octoberfest. Purchase at The Brew Station in Three Lakes.

A deep amber hue, molasses aroma, sweetness quickly followed by a burst of bourbon and vanilla, and a long dry finish. A big beer!

Rich malt, bread, vanilla, and bourbon notes. Clean profile. Medium body. Smooth mouthfeel. Medium-high alcohol warming. Malty finish.

Big malty extra strength Marzen. Barreling evident but not overpowering. A great take on a festbier.

Definitely not you're typical marzen. Extremely malty with a strong bourbon note. Not really boozy but there is a definite kick.

Solid Octoberfest made even more complex with the barrel aging. The two profiles complement each other well. And here is yet another big abv brew for me this weekend that goes down smoothly.

A very bourbony, sweet marzen with some of the typical malts and caramel.
