Super yummy. Great marzen taste. Don't even taste the 10%.

The sweetness is more prominent after a year of aging. I hope this is rereleased.

Nice twist on the style. Leave it to founders to do a barrel aged Oktoberfest. A little heat great flavor. Of course i’m a sucker for barrel aged beers. Thanks SteveP!

cellared this one for a year - bit more of an edge broke out for some RedZone on a very rainy day

After 2 years in the fridge it's lost a bunch of flavor to be expected.

Just because you strap wings on a pig doesn't make an eagle. Beer flavor isn't bad but about 179° flip from a marzen.

Cellared one year. Now it really tastes like bourbon

A year old now. Fresh Motor oil color w a tinge of red. More spiced now a year later and more mellow in the whiskey tones. Malty and sweet. A bit over sweet. Some oak, whiskey notes.

Somedays, you just need bourbon barrel beer and Sturgill

Aging really well. Still lots of bourbon and malty notes.

Unique take on a marzen. Retains the malty, caramel, traditional taste, but is noticeably thinner with more bite. My favorite Octoberfest to date, even though I wouldn't be able to drink it all day. Also, an interesting choice for an Advent calendar.

Bourbony marzen. Strong and supple. Pleasant but boozy.
