Vanilla creamy chocolate nose. Tons of cocoa on nose and but boozy. Thick and creamy.

World Wide Stout (2019) Barduca
Dropping to 4.25 as it as not as good as the 2016 version. More stone fruit less chocolate

The Headless Gourdsman Barduca
Pumpkin and barrel on nose. Palate has a lot of anise star flavor but sweet from the maple syrup, pumpkin spice meld with a boozy barrel to finish in a nice warmmanner. Reminds me of the odd side sweet potato soufflé beer.

Nose maple butter vanilla and cinnamon. Taste very similar, the scotch ale appears drowned out, as is the bourbon. Hoping it opens as it warms. Did not open up to me, could get some alcohol if allowed to sit in back tongue. It’s good but a mid on style.

Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2016) 12.4% Barduca
Muted from the age. Still boozy a little sweetness likely from vanilla and a decent amount of oak, but significantly thinner than the 2014.

Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2014) Barduca
Really mellowed out over the age. Still can pick up on the key notes but they have melded together more. Significantly smoother.

Decent biscuit malt with a light note of bourbon to accentuate the flavor.

Strong bitter coffee with a lot of hazelnut upfront, it is a little lacking on the barrel.

Bourbon and wood. Dark brownish red color. Very complex. Overall a very enjoyable beer.

World Wide Stout (2019) Barduca
Sweet upfront followed by dark fruit huge hit of roasted malt and coffee with a bitter finish, reminiscent of a black ale. Very complex and very good. Pick up more port wine on palate as you drink.

Had one years ago that I really enjoyed, this one disappointed my memory. Cherry soda like with a off maple transitional sweetness that all melds into an powerful oak bourbon finish. Not sure if this needs time to age or if I got a bad bottle this time.

Slightly better than the sweet grapefruit version. Lacking tequila barrel but the lime flavor overall is more enjoyable.
