Very boozy. The Marzen flavors are definitely overpowered by bourbon. Just the subtlest hint of malt.

Pours copper with a white, thin quickly dissipating head. Bourbon oak and vanilla in the nose. Sweet, malty bourbon front to back. Medium body, silky mouth. Glad I tried it, but just OK for me

Interesting, imagine an Oktoberfest marzen with a hint of cherry in the finish. Not getting any bourbon notes.

The bourbon barrel/alcohol dominates the flavor, and there’s only a bit of Oktoberfest lingering in the finish and aftertaste. Overall a unique and interesting brew.

Tastes like alcohol. Not a fan. Ok but idk too strong for me

Heavy on the sticky malt sweetness. Glad I tried it but a 4 pack will be more than enough

Not a marzen fan overall but if you barrel age it, this one turned into sweet raisin juice!

Boozy, especially when you drink it thinking it’s just an Octoberfest..

So. I love a Märzen. One of my favorite styles. I love things that are aged in bourbon barrels. What I’ve learned drinking this beer is that I don’t love those things together. Syrupy vanilla overwhelms any hint of the spices I like in a Märzen. Meh.

After 2 years in the fridge it's lost a bunch of flavor to be expected.

Wonderful clarity, extremely smooth. Not overly sweet or malty. Mild barrel. A pretty enjoyable beer but nothing shocking. Unsure that cellaring would prove any benefit except barrel fade.

Not my favorite Founders beer, but my favorite beer drinking situation, evening dog walk. “Hey tree, hold my beer, I gotta pee”.
