Stunning. Absolutely stunning. A creamy, boozy-bourbon-barrel-aged US Imperial brown ale, with rich, sweet toffee flavours.

Bourbon and hop nose. Smooth, creamy and sweet. Nice cherry orange roundness from the palet though the back end with bourbonish exhale

A top shelf Michigan (Grand Rapids) brewed beer in an equally top shelf Minnesota (Moorhead) brewery glass. The Yin and the Yang of sorts as I lived in a Grand Rapids suburb for 5 years and now reside in Moorhead. The plot of life’s experiences!

Bell’s Old Fashioned Holiday was my favorite holiday beer of 2022. Tonight I did a side by side tasting with Founder’s Highball Drifter. Both are 5’s, but tonight Highball Drifter took the top spot.

Bourbony orange nose. Dark fruits, mandarin orange, hint of cinnamon, hint of booze. Great after dinner drink.
