Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) (2018) Ladenburger
Too much coffee for me. This aged well, but since it does not match my taste profile, I will forego a rating.

Bottle Shop Series Highball Drifter Ladenburger
Highball Drifter, one of two of my favorite beers from Founders. And, yet, Founders seems to have forgotten both. The last Highball Drifter was made in 2022.

Thanks to my buddy Krog for finding this beer. In the spirit of Frootwood and Highball Drifter before it, this is a superb fruit beer from Founders. Since I lean to sweet over tart, the tartness of the cranberry keeps me from giving it a 5.

My buddy Jeff was able to score some Frootwood (2022 release), directly from the Founders brewery. Still my favorite barrel aged beer of all time. Maybe a little too drinkable! Everything balanced with cherry throughout, all without tasting boozy.

Bottle Shop Series Highball Drifter Ladenburger
Side by side taste test against Frootwood 2021. Both rate a 5 by me, but Frootwood wins the side by side tasting battle. Complex and balanced with less boozy overtones gives Frootwood the win.

Bell’s Old Fashioned Holiday was my favorite holiday beer of 2022. Tonight I did a side by side tasting with Founder’s Highball Drifter. Both are 5’s, but tonight Highball Drifter took the top spot.
