Vanilla. Like other founder aged beers, not a ton of barrel

No maple, but the vanilla was enjoyable. I feel like it was trying to get there, but fell short of expectations. I still enjoyed drinking it cellar cool though.

As always, Founders barrel program does not disappoint. This is a nice medium bodied porter with really tight smooth structure. Loaded with roasty aromas along with vanilla & spice. It's delicate with a subtle floral aroma. Maple is mild & not too sweet.

Founders knocked it out of the park with this one! By barrel aging, the maple syrup and vanilla lend an addicting, yet never overpowering, sweetness to this porter. All-in all, great dessert beer that drinks pretty easy for being 9% ABV.

Sweet and strong with a thick body and vanilla and licorice flavor to spare.

Not what I was looking for after tilling up half of the garden. On the sweeter side and not very thick.

I’m starting to believe Founders might be an amazing brewery. They only make great beer. Pairs well with the sativa hybrid, some people work 9to5, I’m enjoying life too much to get by. Haven’t worked since 1995.

Bottle from The Packie, Solid black in color with a huge frothy tan head that persists. Big vanilla nose with earthy roast behind it. Flavor is maple vanilla roast with light oxidation. Not too shabby.
