Aroma of star anise, faint vanilla, and bourbon oak. Maple syrup taste upfront with vanilla, coconut, licorice, dark chocolate, and booze. Finish is warm but not hot with moderate bitterness. An excellent imperial porter!

Roasty, but not too much. Maple-y, but not too much, vanilla carries through, but not too much. Long story short, balanced and delicious!

not a lot of barrel, or maple or vanilla. but all together, this is a fantastic porter. wish i had a 4 pack
