SOLID Marzen. One of my least favorite Founders Barrel aged though.

A lot sweeter than expected, guess it needs it to hide that 10% and it works.

Very enjoyable and tasty, but refuse to consider this an Oktoberfest beer. Oktoberfest-inspired is more accurate.

This is a real letdown. Was hoping for heavy bready maltiness balanced with noble hops, but it’s more like a scotch and water. Disappointing.

This is one of the best Octoberfest beers I have had in years.

Crisp, malty up front like you want your marzen. A little lighter than what it should be but the barrel on the back end gives a nice slow burn. A nice twist.

I have to say. This is pretty damn close to the Ultimate name

Also smooth with a hint of an extra kick to it on the finish. A little more nuanced for the style. A good marzen but a style that’s very homogeneous, nicely-so.

Great to have a lighter ba. Mmmm October & ba

The bourbon is quite subtle in this. For a 10 percent it drinks like a 6 percent beer. I'm digging it as it warms up.

Yeesh. Not bad but strong! 😂 Imo an okto can't really compete very well with bourbon, but to each their own. Lotsa bourbs, not a lotta lager/Marzen!

Copper golden, and a bit on the strong side at 10%, this imperial marzen has malt notes everywhere, and an intermittent hint of sweet notes. The bourbon barrel aging gives it an amazing complexity that should be savored and enjoyed slowly. Prost🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺
