The coffee lover’s consummate beer. Brewed with an abundance of flaked oats, bitter and imported chocolates, and Sumatra and Kona coffee, this stout has an intense fresh-roasted java nose topped with a frothy, cinnamon-colored head that goes forever. WDA

The flavor is really good but there isn’t much of it. If it was more of a full flavor, this coulda been a 4.5

Lots of coffee with milk. The roasted malt flavour is definitely there too, but none of it is overpowering. Quite pleasant and sort of mild, which is surprising.

Not sure if there was something in my cup, but this turned out very bitter for me, even compared to other coffee stouts. An okay flavor besides that, though.

I was told a lot about this beer but the chocolate just doesn't come through. Nearly all coffee. Not bad but not a must but. Worth a try.

Brownish head. Coffeyish nose. Soft coffeyish and malty taste. Slight grassiness in the taste. At the end bitterness. Slight hints of bluecheese in the taste. Some hoppiness too. RB 2010
