Another one I've had, but never checked in. But it's been awhile and boy...is it nice to make a reacquaintance. Founders always comes thru, and this is top notch. Varied malt complexity and richness, hits of toffee and caramel and smoke- just fantastic.

I was in the mood for a stout, but the store had IPAs, more IPAs, Guinness, and IPAs. Found a lonely six of Dirty Bastard though. An acceptable substitute.

Very thick, soapy, khaki head, lacing, and copper-red appearance, with lots of suspended sediment. Nose- peaty smoke, sweet, brown bread crust. Similar flavor, with robust bitterness, but not so smoky. High-medium body, and a mostly-dry finish. RJT

I've had this just a wee bit ago...but one dirty deserves another dirty, right? Always impressed with how smooth this carmelly, smoky beast goes down. Also amazed how it often sells for so cheap with its boozy power, but I'll take it. I ♥️ Founders.

Apparently I have never checked this in. I can't believe it but it's true! Wonderful sweet scotch ale. Heavy duty.
