Kind of nice having an old school stout that isn't super sugary (pastry like). Definitely a slight upgrade over their normal breakfast stout.

Historic RateBeer checkin - 2016-07-22 - Very dark, almost black in colour with beige head that fades to lacing all round the glass. Coffee and chocolate aroma. Complex depth of flavour, bourbon taste comes through with coffee, liquorice and chocolate aft

Probably Founders best beer, a bourbon barrel aged imperial stout. Boozy aroma, roasty chocolate & coffee flavors, 12.0% ABV. I don’t taste the 70 IBU’s, though, very smooth.

Large & mild at the same time as always. Coffee, bourbon sweetness, chocolate. Rich, full, smooth.

Het was oktober 2019 toen ik dit te veel salmiak vond hebben. Het is bijna april 2021 en ik vind dat nog steeds. Dit is zo'n "gewoon niet mijn ding" bier, denk ik.
