Big imperial stout brewed with a massive amount of coffee and chocolate, and then bourbon barrel-aged. Full-bodied with notes of vanilla, cocoa, roasted coffee and charred oak. Great Stout!!! 12%!

The barman gave us a taster after telling him I was on Untappd. This is the best beer I’ve ever had probably. But I couldn’t drink more than a pint.

Very rich in a great way! Big time Chocolate with a match of coffee behind it all. Not too much bourbon boozy, just a hint to make it worth the wait to finish this tasty, toasty treat. Lingering flavors are so nice between sips! Well brewed !

배럴애서 나오는 바닐라와 우디한 향, 그 아래 숨겨진 초콜릿과 커피의 향. 버번스런 바닐라 느낌, 구운 몰트와 초콜릿 맛, 약간의 산미와 스파이시함, 건과일 느낌, 미묘하게 느껴지는 간장 같은 맛. 배럴에 가려져서인지 단맛은 별로 느껴지지 않았음. 좋은 밸런스의 배럴 에이지드 임스지만 개인적으로 간장 맛을 불호하는지라 조금 아쉬웠음.

Very sweet imperial stout with after-notes of coffee and chocolate. Very sweet beer though.

With all the thin BA stouts I’ve suffered lately, this a welcome respite. Some heft to justify the ABV. And it has a richness that’s classic Founders.

Nästintill perfekt. Hade beskan/brännan/kaffet varit något mindre påtagligt hade den fått 5.
