Black color, coffee cocoa nibs, vanilla bean and bourbon aroma, coffee up front but settles with a rich roasted malt and bourbon barrel finish, lost to goose island bbn county stout.

D gives it a 3.4 to 4. I give 3-3.5. $4.49 bottle.Backwoods still the front runner.

Bottled 06/04/19. Very smooth, not overly bourbony, with good coffee and chocolate.

It’s a fairly sweet stout for what it is. It has a black coffee taste mixed with chocolate and a little bourbon. Not overly sweet but just enough to tame the bitterness. For a high ABV it doesn’t have a heavy alcohol taste to it.

Haven't had this in awhile, so glad to have enjoyed again. The forward aromas are bourbon and coffee. But it's the taste, a delightful blend of chocolate, coffee and bourbon flavors that set this apart. Amazing stout. Founders does it again!

Not a super strong taste. But is solid and alcoholic, so I’m happy!
