Checkin from last night. A Porter should usually have notes of coffee. But maybe not expired Folgers.

Pure ash & bitter, burnt stout malt. Burnt toast, burnt cocoa, burnt coffee, burnt cigarettes. All the burning.

I rarely drink Porters at this stage of my craft beer journey. At $1.99/bottle -- this beer made sense to revisit. All these ratings are virtually meaningless. I could give it a bump, but I'll obey rational thought and keep it the same.
