Utopias Barrel-Aged 120 Minute IPA

One helluva boilermaker after 10 hours of sifting through everything at Mom’s house. — Big, boozy, & complex. Aroma of grassy hops & subtle dankness, mixed with boozy golden raisin, prune, fig, subtle vanilla, & golden caramel.

Porter

Pure ash & bitter, burnt stout malt. Burnt toast, burnt cocoa, burnt coffee, burnt cigarettes. All the burning.

Underground Mountain Brown (2020)

Caramel, milk chocolate, & bourbon on the nose. Thin, fizzy notes of fresh brewed coffee, tangy toffee, wet oak, & almost a barley wine yeastiness.

Panther Cub

This is such a burnt, roasty beer. Drinks like a Baltic Porter, but with char rather than sweetness. Notes of charred oak, ash, espresso, dark roast coffee, winter spice, & vanilla. Harsh dark malt.

KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge

Super woody—freshly chopped wood, wet wood, dried twigs, oak barrel. Dark cocoa & unsweet fudge up front. Molasses, burnt vanilla bean, black coffee, & dark maple. I expected this to drink much sweeter, but it’s dark and cocoa-ish instead.

World Wide Stout (2019)

I don’t know what I expected, but this isn’t it (in all the right ways). Raisin, bourbon, & prunes on the nose. Full bodied, ashy, oaky, & boozy as hell. Tangy middle with purple fruit notes. Woody, boozy, almost bitter finish. The ABV comes through hard.

Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) (2017)

Huge thanks to Nolabeerlvr and Brad G. for this beer! Molasses, maple, & bourbon-soaked oak on the nose. Lightly bitter, boozy notes of burnt brownies, unsweetened cocoa, vanilla bean, & molasses on the palate. Just enough booze to keep you sipping slow.

Raison D’Extra (2019)

More yeast & burnt toffee on day 2 of the growler. Less sweetness; more tang. It’s cool seeing how these beers change over the course of a couple of days of being open.

Raison D’Extra (2019)

This beer brings me so much joy. Yeasty, boozy, caramel-filled aroma & flavor. Pure raisin (regular & golden), calimyrna fig, sticky toffee, oak, vanilla bean, & bread pudding. Silky. Boozy, dessert-like, lingering finish. Dangerously easy to drink.

Campfire Amplifier

Very little aroma. Subtle marshmallow, cocoa powder, & vanilla bean on the palate. Stale graham cracker on the finish. None of the flavors are prominent or overly sweet. Thin bodied; almost flat. Like a weak porter.
