Cherry & wood notes are leas pronounced on the front than I remember from previous years….more vanilla. Booziness on the finish seems a touch more pronounced. A little different but still awesome!

Haven’t had this for awhile. Excellent beer for a standard beer to buy anywhere. Excellent Scottish ale.

Rich and flavorful, lots of carb, lingering aftertaste.

Bourbon barreled scotch ale. Bourbon caramel aroma and flavor with dry finish from oak. Nice sipper.

Wow this was confusing. Very close to having a bourbon glass. Super interesting!

Forgot to check in with BBQ. Son in law brought to party. He knows me well.

My 1st backwoods bastard. Decent brew with nice blend of flavors.

For the price, I’d much rather drink this than the Revolution Grave Digger

Duft karamel og lidt humle, smag af karamel, maltsødme, fad, ristet malt, bourbon/whisky, ikke så stor fylde som forventet, og lidt større bitterhed end forventet.

Good but seems to lack the backbone of Bastards of yore

I like a Scottish ale aged in bourbon barrels. This one is well balanced. Bourbon nose a little dry on the finish.

Boozy. Nice burnt sugar aroma. Toffee. Boozy and some dried fruit. Almost a cola taste..

Excellent as always, quite possibly my favorite beer of all time. The complexity and richness can’t be matched for the price point. $15 for a 4 pack, I may change this to a 5 after drinking the next one.
