No seriously. It’s from 2012 - It was a gift between the best man and the groom for their undergrad and they aged it until one of them got married. Well, today was the day! For a 9 year old beer, it ain’t bad!

Aged for too long.... still had 3 glasses chased with a pint of Au Jus!

Cellar clearing. Mellowed out a bit but still really boozy. Not re-rating

10 year old barley wine. Age has not been kind to it. Lost much of the complexity to be expected. Even the alcohol seems muted @ 15%.

Definitely still drinkable after 12 years, but it lost pretty much all the maple flavoring. Wish I would have drank earlier as this is now much more hoppier than what I care for. Maybe I should have sold it to someone who loves IPAs?!

LC; am I doing this right? Straight into a 1L, one sip to confirm how disgusting and oxidized it is, then right down the drain? Okay, cool. Just wanted to be sure.

Very smooth. Not as big with oxidation as I thought it might. It’s aged very well but is seemingly after it’s peak.

Found this buried in the back of the fridge. Tastes like old Hop Slam at this point.
