Na een aantal stuks Hertog Jan achter over hebben getikt in het restaurant voor schoonvaders zijn verjaardag, is het nu toch weer tijd voor het echte werk. Zacht, barrels, tikkeltje boozy en iets van karamel.

Full-bodied for a scotch ale. I like scotch ales but I much prefer this big, woody version. Malt forward with a bit of malty sweetness. Complemented nicely by the wood aging.

Another hit from Founders! Dark fruit based strong ale with a hint of woods and darkness. Well rounded and comforting sipper. From first sip to aftertaste, this one is a winner.
