This was the gold standard of stouts. It’s dark, smooth w/a bit sweet of syrup, with evident bourbon character. It is boozy & rich as all heck, but not as complex as I remember, and I didn’t taste coffee notes. Still really good, just lacking something

A wonderful breakfast beverage. Coffee on the nose. Baking chocolate bitterness on the taste. Delightful. And fresh from the tap.

This was the best beer i have ever had…. Before TH. I dont care for it anymore. It is strong but lscks complexity of flsvors behind it.

Eerste biertje na de post-carnaval griep. Ongelofelijk dat ik deze ooit een 3,5 heb gegeven. Wat een heerlijke, goed gebalanceerde stout. De siroop gecombineerd met de koffiesmaak zorgt voor die verfijnde afdronk.

A legendary stout that stands up to it’s reputation. Discontinued but still available on the back shelves of bottle shops if you’re lucky. See it-buy it!
