If this were a stout, I think this would be great. But this is a weirdly wonky, winey, woody waste of beer. Rare swing and a miss from Founders.

Sweet baking/pie spice nose, hints of clove. Hopped cloviness with a sweet strong bitter cloved finish. Slightly vegetal

On the third day of Beermas, a giant Gingerbread Man snuck into my house and left this - I enjoy Founders, and really wanted to like it, but it was way too sweet and the finish tasted very astringent.

Rough. It's a barrel aged beer with spices. It's better than some, but certainly a tough beer to drink.

Too much for me on the spices. The ginger and clove hit so I could not really get a lot of the beer.

Disappointing mess. Overly sweet and finishes far too bitter. Super thin bodied too. I miss when Founders made good beer.

Way too much spice, which covers everything else up. There might be a good barrel-aged barley wine under there but I can’t tell. The barrel is moot. You could just make a strong base beer and spice the shit out of it and it would taste the same.

This is by far the worst beer Founders beer I have ever tasted. Yuck….. Do or do not. There is no try…..
