Thanks Kenny K for bottling this 2017 version! Saved this for the right moment - which is the night before a snow day in Texas!

2021 but not sure where this one falls. Malty molasses and sweet. The Better Half is Better.

Old bottle with no date found in the stash. Tasty sipper as always. Missed checkin from earlier in the week.

This particular bottle does not seem to have held up. A 2013.

Last bottle. 😪 2014 batch (Best Before 5/12/2015). A very old Old Ale. I think I paid about $2.63 a bottle from Phoenix Liquor. Halcyon days. Still drinks like smooth toffee malt. No hint of the 9.8% ABV. Delicious.

Sweetish malty aroma, notes of caramel and oak, hints of dark dried fruits and alcohol. Not as sweet flavour as I feared, malty and oaky, caramel and dried figs, well balanced with the hops, a nice bitterness in the finish and aftertaste. Would buy again.

Excellent. Strong, malty, smooth, delicious. Similar to a scotch ale.

Sweet...and strong. Like me!!! lol Seriously this IS a strong ale with plenty of flavor. Definately on the sweet side and you know if you keep drinking it you'll have to get yourself off the floor at the end of the night.

Never had anything like it. Sweet but far from a stout. Molasses citrus and oak. Sounds odd but works.

Vencida em 2015, mas ainda assim boa. Passou uns 2-3 anos do momento ideal.
