Missed my flight so what better place to wait in Grand Rapids than Founders tap room? I’m doing a side by side of curmudgeon and curmudgeon’s better half...mix the two and it’s ideal...

Very malty early on. Fades away to a molasses sweetness. Not as much oomph as the Other Half. But the Other half ages for 250+ days. It has an oaky, action. A full mouthfeel. I give it a 6/10 on the hairiness scale.

Curmudgeon Old Ale by Founders. Oak aged ale brewed with molasses. Smooth, sweet, and boozy. Really good.

Such a good beer. Founders needs to bring this one back. Held on well. A little more molasses sweetness with age?

Söt malt. Aningen besk. Värmande alkohol. Från ekfatslagringen finns dock inga spår. God trots åldern. Betyget upp några snäpp👌 BEST BY 05/12/2015

2012. Smooth. Although a caramel sugary presence certainly not sweet. Abv warmth and apparent hop abundance really balances. Thanks Homebrewher dynobyte !😎
