Green Zebra

Sour - Fruited Gose

Subtly sour and a little sweet, this ale is a refreshing take on a nearly extinct German style, gose. Watermelon is the highlight of this lightly-hopped treat and gives it a hint of satisfying juiciness. The soft mouthfeel and dry finish comes courtesy of the addition of sea salt, a traditional gose ingredient.

i think this was the first sour beer i ever drank, which is why it loomed so large in my imagination. it’s almost as good as i remember it (and weird that it was in this random glover park bbq place in dc)

Super crushable. Really refreshing. The melon sweetness lasts the entire time and finishes surprisingly long and sweet. Great porch beer IMO. The tartness is light and not in your face, as it should be. Nice. Not my preferred style of beer though.

Smells like a bag of watermelon flavored gummies. Light, tart, refreshing. Taste is mostly pink watermelon Jolly Rancher followed by a quick burst of puckering tart acidity & a lingering salinity-laced finish. A one-trick pony, but delivers as advertised.
