120 Minute IPA (2024)

IPA - Imperial / Double

Clocking in at 15-20% ABV, 120 Minute IPA is continually hopped with a copious amount of high-alpha American hops throughout the boil and whirlpool, and then dry-hopped with a boatload of hops. Unfiltered and abundantly hoppy, it's the Holy Grail for hopheads! We brew 120 Minute IPA a few times a year, but it goes fast. If you find some grab a few bottles -- some to enjoy and some to age.

Honest rating for me is a 4.125, right between 4 and 4.25. There is a good amount of complexity to this beer. I do wish the hop flavors would shine through more. Boozy even at a "modest" 15.5% abv for the 2024 brew

Boozy, as normal for a fresh 120 Minute. Not super bitter, just a little bite. Can't wait to drink the rest of these in a year or two.

Hoppy but not much flavor right now. Aging may help

Smells like it does, you know it if you've had it. Resin, BOOZE, hoppy dank sweet goodness. Not as strong as some others but I guess 15.5% will have to do

Sweet Jesus. Normally I would not drink an IPA that had an ibu over 20. Nectar of the God's. Tastes like a low ibu beer while still coming in it 15.5% alcohol. Pricey, but damn good. Hazy, crisp and easy on the palette. Hopping for 120 minutes, oh yeah

12oz bottle. Fairly bitter w/somewhat viscous mouthfeel & hefty hop intensity. Bitter citrus, lime rind, grassy & dried floral notes. I remember when this was $7 a bottle! Should probably buy more to age but I likely have 10-20 year old bottles cellared.

I used to think this was hot syrup when it was fresh. Now I crave the big malty bitter flavors. So good. If you can find a way to age it, it’s even better.

It’s not a barleywine, but it’s pretty much a barleywine.

If you expect this to be similar to the 90min IPA, you will be sorely disappointed. The barrel aging gives this beer the distinctive barrel aged flavour, so this drinks closer to a barrel aged stout imo. A very enjoyable beer, just don't expect an IPA.

Definitely a very big beer, and probably worth the impact of the high ABV — long lasting aftertaste Not sure how to decipher the code printed on the neck, and web searching isn't helping — it's something like D 075 4 1233 11

Some how this is my first 120. It's an "imperial" Ipa, that's really a strong TIPA that tastes like a barley wine. Whatever this is, its delicious 🍺

A little lower ABV I believe this year at 15.5%. Drinking pretty well for a big boy.

Oh yeah. Hoppy, unfiltered goodness. Piney resin, hint of dankness, malty backbone with a tad bit of sweetness. Good companion for sunset and backdrop of Santa Catalina mountains at dusk. Prost!!
