VG IPA, but most exciting thing about this one tonight is I got it as a BOGO at Publix, so got 2 6-packs for price of 1 — $15. So $1.25 a bottle for a damn fine beer.

I was afraid this would be a palette destroyer that would bitter me to death. Instead, this was a malty, nuanced and delightful Imperial IPA. Malty sweetness with a mellow hop character made this a surprising hit.

This beer is the opposite of a hazy IPA. It’s almost characterless but the hop flavor is so strong and good that it makes up for it. There is also no bubbly or carbonated mouthfeel. It taste almost like a slightly watered down liquor with a sweet flavor.

Not an ipa guy to begin with. This one made me a believer in a refreshing ipa though. Good heavy hopps and then a malty refresh that will have you begging for another sip.
