120 Minute IPA

IPA - Imperial / Double

The Holy Grail for hopheads! Clocking in at 15-20% ABV, 120 Minute IPA is continuously hopped with a copius amount of high-alpha American hops throughout the boil and whirlpool, and then dry-hopped with another pallet of hops. Unfiltered and abundently hoppy.

Honey? Heavy? Full? Punches me in the mouth in a mean way? I want to be a fan of this, but I’m underwhelmed

2017. Holy smokes, it’s strong. Do I love it? Nah, is it wrong to call it a novelty beer? Way strong, malty and hoppy.

Boozy and aromatic. Almost a fig and sweet taste that is smooth and delicious. Definitely a repeat.

Vague bitter more than the variable flavors of 2022. If modern day IPAs are a car crash that wrecks your whole body, this is a stab to one part of your tongue with focused flavor. Closer to some barleywines than many IPA.

Wow! First time I’ve had the 120. It lives up to the hype. It’s strong, but not 18% strong. Full flavor. Full body. Tropical notes. Really good. I’m going to age a few for later.

2020. Hops fell off considerably. Huge malt bomb at this point. Doing a triple IPA comparison tonight.

Just casually found it at the supermarket. Lives up to the hype for me, gives off deep Belgian Tripel vibes more than anything else, and considering that's probably my favorite style...

OK, so, yes, 4.75 but maybe that’s just because it’s 18% and this review comes afterwards. It’s a great beer, but it’s debatable whether it’s worth drinking more than a couple of ounces at a time.

Imported from Phoenix. Always a good one to find. Loaded with hops but very sweet. Getting the booziness. But overall a very good beverage.
