When I was first getting into IPAs 20+ years ago I came across this at Discount Liquor in Waukesha for the first time. It’s really big and boozy, way more than I typically like. What’s funny is that, like most DIPAs, the hops aren’t all that noticeable.

From bourbon county beer share. Forgot to check in. So many good beers that evening.

Puts imperial in imperial IPA. Very much of a hoppy barley wine. Both hop and malt/alcohol forward. Clean and strong, full bodied.

Bottled 10/20/17 I might have sat in this too long, tastes like a more bitter barleywine.

Extremely strong and boozy, with sweetness that wipes out the hops. Very good IPA.

This was a gift, I tasted it and then found out the ABV😳! It actually doesn’t taste as boozy as you’d expect. A good sipping and sharing one.

I always forget how strong this is! Such a bold flavor.

I don't think I've ever had a beer in this category that I've liked more than this one. I didn't think I would ever identify it as an IPA though. I would just think it was delicious.

This batch sits at 17%abv. It’s fun as a treat, but this is heavier than I typically go for haha.

Haven’t had this fresh in years. Really a great beer. No more aging this for me.
