Strong, but not boozy or overly dry fruit notes. Really good!

18%! Officially my highest ABV yet. Less alcohol in your face than some 12% beers though.

The left is 5 years old. Definitely worth the wait. Smooth, caramel with a sweetness. No bite! The right is from 2022. Tastes like a newborn. Has the bit with the bitters. Both are tasty.

PTY is better. This packs a punch though. Even thought itâs sweet, it still has a bitter bite. Piney woody hop profile. That cloyingly hop profile. You know, where it seems thick.

What I noticed first were the boozy, sugary notesânot the IBUs. Once my taste buds acclimated to this sweetness, I found it somewhat similar to enjoying a barleywine or fortified wine. The price for this experience? $9 and 450 calories per 12 ounces!

This is one of my all-time favorite IPAs. The process of making this beer, can be tasted in the notes. Hopped over a 120 minute boil and then dry-hopped for over a month, makes the flavors really special. You can also age this beer for several decades.
