Great flavors. Tastes like a tripel mixed with an ipa.

An oak-aged, gentle giant. An English-style old ale and an imperial IPA. Brewed and, after separate fermentation in stainless tanks, are transferred and blended together in large oak tanks.

Or in this case, the IPA of Christmas Past. Really glad I stocked up on this one before Dogfish Head stopped brewing it, and I hope they bring it back!

Enjoying this beautiful weather with a Button and a cigar.

Had bottle version years back. Of course this draft is fresher, therefore better. Strong yet smooth with an effervescent natural flavor.

Yes to the caramel up front. I catch a bit of smoky at end. Well crafted. Brad and I keep debating what flavors we taste. Sign of a well crafted beer.

Like this. Good bit of caramel with some form of earthy spice hidden within.

The woodiness aroma really draws you in and the blending of flavors really tastes great. Great marriage of ale and hops.

Silky oak here lulls you into complacency. Before you know it you realize you’ve just had a whopper of an imperial ipa.

For an IPA, it's actually not too bitter. Very smooth and the color is silky.

Oaky nose. Very effervescent, malty, oaky, little bite and some imperial punch. Balanced
