Malty with a nice cooked caramel flavor. Really dark in glass. Paired well with Cowboys first half.

Catch up - round 2 - deep, raisin-ish, date-like sweetness and oak up the whazoo. This one aged decently too and got even stronger in aroma, and fall spices that set well with cherry pie.

Should have had this earlier in the night. Or let it warm a little. Flavors were a little dull. This one was a year and a half old. Need to give it another shot.

This Brown Ale is the perfect beer for a cold day. Clocking in at 12% it is Smokey, boogie and warm. Also great in Chilli and Stew

Settles as it drinks. First sip a little boozy but mellows out

After sadly missing out on visiting the dogfish tap room, as it was booked out, I settled on buying a few takeaways. This one was pretty nice, but I was expecting a bit more from the exciting narrative on the label

Well made but simply don’t like boozy...and at 12%...this one is booooooozy.

A little too much hops bitterness - prevents some of the other flavors from coming through. Otherwise, a strong - and flavorful - imperial brown.

It’s very well balanced and I sort of like the obvious herbal wood notes.

Has a bit of a fruity aftertaste. Doesn't taste boozy for being 12%.

Maybe on a different day this would get a 4. Today is not that day

From 2018. When I last had a bottle from this cellared batch it was only 1 year old and tasted of bacon. The sweetness has aged out and this is a much more balanced smokey profile now.

Hots all the right notes for me. While not a session beer I want it to be.

Got the hook-up from my neighbor(Mr. Clark). Smooth, caramel, dark. Not my usual jam but this is a good one. At 12%, won’t getting on any ladders to hang Christmas lights now.

Strong. Port wine/syrupy taste at the end. Unique smell. Flight tasting. Far right.
