Midas Touch

Historical Beer - Other

This sweet yet dry beer is made with ingredients found in 2,700-year-old drinking vessels from the tomb of King Midas. Somewhere between beer, wine and mead, Midas will please the chardonnay and beer drinker alike.

I give it a little extra ratings bump for the cool historical story behind it, but the taste is not actually enjoyable. The nose is good: grapes and honey sweetness. The taste has some harsh stuff going on.

Sweet and golden! Normally not huge on sweet beers but this one works, I can only drink one because of the sweetness but it’s very inebriating lol

For what it is, it’s pretty good. I haven’t had this one in years and I enjoy the uniqueness

Not sure of this Bronze Age history in the description, but it is a darned good ancient mash. Slightly fruity finish. Go Sounders!

Color dorado. Dulce y afrutada. Feels like summer. Me encanta la historia detrás de esta cerveza.

tastes just like an ale, just like the bottle says, it’s got a “mead-y” taste to it, almost sweet, notes of honey.. good brew

King Midas had good taste! Very much a wine finish, though the saffron does sneak in there!
