Pennsylvania Tuxedo

Pale Ale - American

A spruce-infused pale ale, Pennsylvania Tuxedo pays homage to the flannel-suited hunters and gatherers who dwell deep in the backcountry of north-central PA. This sessionable concoction has a grassy citrus kick complemented by the resinous conifer notes of fresh green spruce tips. A dry yet doughy malt backbone lets the hops and spruce shine while still balancing out the bitterness, making this one an easy drinking ale rich with the aroma of Paul Bunyan's cologne.

Not as bad as I thought it was going to be. Well balanced with a fairly subtle fresh, piney finish. Not like a West Coast IPA, though.

Hoppy, piney, and surprisingly sweet. Taste-wise I think it's just okay, but I won't deny it does really remind of Pennsylvania somehow.

There’s piney hops, and then there’s actual pine. Quite malty, with a resiny flavor. Thanks for the trade, JC C.!

A salute to the flannel-suited hunters who dwell in Central, PA. This coniferous concoction has a citrusy hop kick complimented by the resinous qualities of fresh, spruce tips & a smooth malt backbone.
