World Wide Stout

Stout - Imperial / Double

Brewed with a ridiculous amount of barley, World Wide Stout is dark, rich, roasty and complex. This ageable ale clocks in at 15-20% ABV and has a depth more in line with a fine port than with a can of cheap, mass-marketed beer.

Deep, deep dark, almost black with hues of brown. Aroma is near perfect with enough alcohol to bring this complex beer together like a drunken kumbaya. Flavor is soft and sauce-like in tiny bits, BBQish.

Believe this is the 2021 batch - fantastic sipper. Nice cocoas and roast with a pleasant warmth at the end

Oh man this is pretty good. I sure wish they gave me a full glass instead of this half full thing...although it is 18% so maybe thats why.

Super complex with the coffee and the chocolate. Very unique on the tongue with a chalky or grainyness that adds to the overall experience!

Pitch black pour with a brown head. Fig, raisin, date, chocolate, toffee, caramel nose. The dark fruit starts it off. The caramel, chocolate and toffee back it up. Thick, full body. Some burn that tells you it's a sipper. Delicious.

Introducing Pete D. to the 18% malted black happiness that is WWS. I love this beer. Wish we had more regular access to this DFH gem. 4.30☆

Just sweet enough to give the deep, dark, roasty booze (18%) some context. Somewhat mouthcoating. Rich.

Was the biggest stout I ever had until Black Tuesday came out in 2008/9 I think.

Figs. Chocolate. Caramel. Sweet sweet booze. Warm. Sitting in a fuzzy robe on the floor of our new place, drinking this bad boy, eating chocolate truffles. Life is good. Thanks Cindy W. and Jeff R. !! Miss you guys already 😭

I've had this since either 2013 or 2017 (date smudged) It's mellow, but still has that 18% kick. Liquor on the nose, chocolate on the tongue, buzzing head. Wowza! Corinne B. Have you tried yours yet?

Really glad I was able to bring some of this home. Wow, what a beer. So much going on, but at its heart just a slow sipping dark rich bottle of goodness.
