Some bitter chocolate. Some bitter hops poking through as well. The blistering ABV pulls your attention away, though. You get a peek at the flavors up front before the effect of the alcohol kicks in. Resiny, chocolatey, roasty.

Some slight sugar. Very woody up front. Dark, resinous, and roasty.

Bottle date 12/11/13. Back when this was a whale. No oxidation. Still a little boozy.

Purchased November 2016. Very sweet and dark fruit heavy. Alcohol present for sure. Definitely an old school feel. The sweetness and leathery taste are kind of unusual. Drinks pretty smooth, but overall not something I want a lot of.
