It’s been awhile since I’ve had one so I figured I’d give it another try, plus…. Bike Contest! Better than I remember, not as boozy with some age on it.

I love this beer aged. Fresh not so much. 3 years is real prime for this beer. Smooth like a port wine

Very malty sweet. Rather dark in color like a barleywine. A little bitter but mostly sweet. Can tell it’s a big boy, but it doesn’t seem very boozy.

Thoroughly (can’t exaggerate that word enough) enjoyed a 2018 after a month of Whole30. Celebrating 17 1/2 lbs down in 30 days 🍻

Always recommend sitting on it for 3 years.. which is why I always buy it when I see it

I mean....this is a barleywine lmao Not bad! Not too boozy, still kind of bitter. Kind of fruity, not unbearable after a few years.

when you finally remembered to bring the bottle to share with the boys at the local brewery. cheers. perhaps a lil oxidation on it at this point.

11/22/17 bottled on date. 2018 ABV… very tasty at 4 years old. Iole’s apple strudel was excellent too!

BFLN. 9/7/18 date. I didn’t store this well but I think it held up quite well. It was malty but still plenty hoppy. The alcohol was well hidden too

Last one I have. Super boozy. Floral and hoppy to the nose. Still so good. Hanging hop flavor with a sweet bitter aftertaste. Well aged. Well worth the wait.

Aging since 2018. Celebrating a Beavs win. Maltly and boozy with a sharp hop finish.

I think this is the right vintage? I think I saw 2018 on another bottle at the store, this one had no date but was cold. In any case, it definitely doesn't taste fresh, but it is delicious. Can't say the same for many other out-of-date beers at the store.
