Kriek 100% Lambic Bio (2014) N.
This was a bit tarter than I had hoped with lighter cherry as well, but it did get more juicy at the end of the bottle. Good stuff, but not my favourite Kriek batch.
My God has this aged beautifully. Like no acetic character that you'd expect from this line. Super soft. Raspberry still punches through nicely.
This was kind of a letdown, similar to the 49ers. A bit funkier than I'm used to for the line, and I'm getting less grape coming through. Still enjoyable drinking, but not the transcendent beer I'm used to.
I still feel like I enjoy Cantillon's other grape beers more than this for the most part, but it's still pretty good. Great water though.
Pretty much flat, but still delicious. Actually kinda reminds me of Loerik. Soft water with light lemon and peppercorn. Very good year of Classic Gueuze.
Honestly...I find this inferior to most of Cantillon's grape beers. Has a note of perilla leaf that detects for me. Still good, but I didn't find it special.
Much more restrained tartness than I remember for this beer. Tons of raspberry juice and honestly one of the best raspberry renditions I've ever had, and I usually don't live Rosé for Gambrinus.
Absolutely heavenly nose. Sooooooo much apricot. Honestly might be the best Fou Foune I've had yet. Dripping with juice at every bite.
Definitely enjoy this more than Camerise. More jammy tasting with a bright citrusy tartness that is very welcome here unlike usual.
This beer is way boozier than I remember for this series. Kinda flat too. I usually really enjoy this beer, but I'm really not feeling this bottle. Just way too much barrel rather than gueuze.
Great water with earthy honey notes. Not bitter, but still has some hop presence. I do think a few more years on this would be money.
I think this has confirmed for me that Lou Pepe Framboise is worse than Lou Pepe Kriek. It's not mega tart, but I feel like it takes away so much from this beer. Beer is tasting pretty fresh, but at the same time not super jammy like I hoped.
One of the more funkier Cantillons for sure. Reminds me more of apricots than grapes. Super slight pepperoncini. Kinda wish this was more grape than apricot.

Blåbær Lambik (Blueberry Lambic) (2021) N.
More funky than the typical Cantillon which takes some time to adjust to, but after that, it is lovely tart blueberries. Honestly, didn't enjoy this as much as my last Blabaer, but this is still very nice.
I still find this series to be a worse Saint Lamvinus. What I can taste of the grape is great, but I really wish this was more jammy. Not top tier water, but better than average which makes this very drinkable.
Ehh, never loved Classic Geuzue outside of the Belgian flag year, and this is no different. Water profile is good, but there really isn't anything else redeeming about it.

Kriek 100% Lambic Bio (2017) N.
So well rounded. Not crazy on the cherry, but the water is sublime and so soft. Could drink this all day even if not in a lambic mood just cuz the water is so good.
Kind of like a better version of 3F Hommage. Tart raspberry with some funk. Love it, but I don't know if I find it groundbreaking compared to Hommage which is so much more obtainable.

Kriek 100% Lambic Bio (2022) N.
This always hits the spot. A little more tart cherry than dark, sweet cherry compared to the norm. Great water as usual.
Getting a touch of acetic vinegar, but everything else about it is lovely. Grape comes out much more are the bottom of the bottle.
Probably my favourite Rosé de Gambrinus I've had yet. Less tart than usual. One of the most natural raspberry expressions I've had in a lambic.

Kriek 100% Lambic Bio (2021) N.
Very soft with a good amount of cherry. Not very complex, but dang do I enjoy it. Great water.

Grand Cru Bruocsella Brut (2020) N.
Not very carbonated despite the "brut." Still just some great old gueuze either way. Just don't think this is better than most 3 Fonteinen or Tilquin gueuze.
Batch 1 was better, but this is still exceptional. Incredible grape character with a little bit of spice. Excellent water profile.

Aging beautifully. Doesn't taste old at all. Soft with tons of white grape and a slightly tart finish.

Kriek 100% Lambic Bio (2020) N.
Sweet cherry with a good amount of tartness throughout. Pretty drinkable, but I do think the tartness is a bit on the high end.
Musty with some dried orange peel. Good amount of depth, but doesn't quite hit what I expect from gueuze. Very good water profile though.
Tart and kinda acetic raspberry. Still think this is the worst Cantillon line, but I would enjoy it if it wasn't in a lineup of amazing lambics.
Better this time around. Bottle variation or needs age? Still has a touch of acetic acid though.

Gueuze 100% Lambic Bio (2020) N.
Better than their usual Gueuze, but still don't think this is top tier gueuze. The water profile is the best thing about this beer, but the flavour kinda ends there. 4.35

Cuvée Saint-Gilloise (Champions) (2017) N.
So soft. Hops have rounded out completely. Lots of wood.
Enjoyed this a lot more than last time. Amazing grape with a bunch of peppercorn. Just like a really good vintage of Saint Lamvinus with some spice.
Smells like an orchard. Probably the best smelling lambic I've ever smelled actually. Tons of apple character with some tart white grape in the finish.
Enjoying it more than I did last time, but it's still very different from what I expect from lambic. Still very banana pepper for me.
Cherry city. Soft. A touch of acetic tartness. Honestly, not my favourite Lou Pepe Kriek by any stretch, but still great stuff. 4.55

Honestly the first Saint Lamvinus I didn't absolutely love... Actually got notes of apple cider vinegar which I never get get from Cantillon. Still has a lot of the excellent grape character to cancel it out, but I'm still disappointed.

Nice earthy rhubarb. Pretty good mouthfeel. Not my absolute favourite Nath, but very well balanced for the series and very approachable.

Tyrnilambic Baie D'Argousier (2021) N.
The sea buckthorn is definitely a unique flavour. I like the fruit, but it's definitely different and probably not my favourite. Good water profile.

HORAL's Oude Geuze Mega Blend (2019) N.
Tastes like a marginal improvement on the 2017. A little bit more lemony.

HORAL's Oude Geuze Mega Blend 2015 N.
I can definitely taste the Tilquin, Boon, and De Cam components. Pretty enjoyable, but I would rather just have the separate beers by themselves.
HORAL's Oude Geuze Mega Blend (2017) N.
Tastes so different from the 2015. Actually has its own character rather than tasting like a hodgepodge of different Oude Geuzes. More tart, softer, and just a great minerality to really set this apart.

Bruoscella 1900 Grand Cru (2022) N.
Very drinkable, but kinda young. Think some age would do wonders for this. Funk and grape skins. Pretty good water profile.
By far the best Classic Gueuze I've had. Light lemon with great water. Great grain bill.
Pretty good, but I do prefer Cantillon's lambic over this. Can definitely taste some hops, but it's not that bitter. A little heavier than I want from my sours. The water is really good here thankfully.
People be hating cuz this is 🔥🔥🔥. Excellent mouthfeel, and super soft. Can't wait to drink this again in 10 years.
Very earthy which kinda caught me off guard since I don't expect that for this beer. Kinda reminds me of tamarind candy.

Oude Geuze Boon Black Label (2016) N.
Kinda like a Golden Blend lite. Has the same profile, but the water profile isn't quite as good.
Bruocsella 1900 Grand Cru (2021) N.
Like this so much better than the other batches I've had of this. Mild lemon, but just extremely excellent water.
Reminds me a lot of Saint Lamvinus but only with blueberry. So soft. Nose is all funk, but it's all super great water with sole funk and delicious blueberry undertones.
Probably my least favourite old label Vigneronne, but I still love it. Just quite a bit more lemony than I remember. Still would pick any old label Vigneronne over the new stuff.

Really good cherry character. Not mega cherry, but enough cherry that I’m not longing for more. Water is so good.
Less bitter than 2017, but still hella bitter. Closer to American barleywine than the last 2. More bready.
Pretty different than the last 3 years, but I still don’t care for it. More rounded out with less bitterness. More watery as well.
Thank God this is the last of the gauntlet. Sweeter and less hoppy than the previous years.

I take back my previous comments. This is the best mouthfeel from Cantillon by far. Tart grapes. Absolutely loving the grapes in this. Best grape beer I’ve ever had.
This is the best mouthfeel I’ve had from Cantillon yet. Slight funk laced between grapes. I’ve never had a grape like this. I think I prefer the Saint Lamvinus grape expression, but this is darn close.
Funky vinous grapes all day. At first I wasn’t wowed, but as I keep drinking it grew on me until I couldn’t stop indulging myself similar to crack.

HORAL's Oude Geuze Mega Blend (2021) N.
Hella carbonated which gives this beer a lot of lift. Love how soft it is.
Nose is just straight raspberry heaven with a scene of vanilla. The vanilla and raspberry is more prominent than 2020. However, I don’t really taste any blueberry. Vanilla almost tastes chocolatey. I miss the blueberry a lot, but this vanilla is ridic.
Might be the best water profile I’ve had from Cantillon yet. Grapes are very jammy. Has a pretty prominent rye like spice note.
Tastes decently different than the older vintages for me in a worse way 😕 I still quite enjoy this, but it’s more peppercorn and less vinous grape.

Oude Geuze Boon à l'Ancienne - VAT 108 Mono Blend N.
Basically tastes like 3 Fonteinen Oude Geuze but better actually.
Smells like funky town, but there is surprisingly little of it on the taste. Great raspberry and blueberry. Vanilla works surprisingly well.

50 Degrees N - 4 Degrees E (2020) (Cognac) N.
Very strong barrel, and I love it. Definitely less bright than your typical lambic. Really love it, but loses some of the qualities I love about lambic. Thank you so much Nick B.!

Super excellent geuze. Rhubarb is very light. One of the best geuzes I’ve ever had.
Actually not the best Fou Foune I’ve had, but still lovely. The least amount of peach I’ve had from this beer, but definitely still there.

Kriek 100% Lambic Bio (2018) N.
Lovely cherries for days. Very bright with dang near perfect water profile.
Maybe the most delicious white grape rendition I’ve had in a beer yet. Perfect level of tartness.
More funky than other vintages I’ve had, and I love that about it. Just enough raspberry with a great mouthfeel. My favourite Rosé de Gambrinus yet.

Geuze Mariage Parfait (2008) N.
A little maltier than I’d like, but still super solid. Lemon and lots of oak with a light honey sweetness.
Oude Geuze Boon (2012-2013) N.
Pretty mild in terms of funk and sourness. Good amount of spice and wood. A little more malty than the top tier lambics.

I have never liked Beer Geek Breakfast, but this is actually great. Vanilla seems to cut a ton of the roastiness I hate from this series. Marshmallowy vanilla for days.
