Definitely know it is high ABV. The high ABV intensifies the hops.

Actual posted abv is 16.9. Definitely smoother through the years. This think deank hot back in '09.

120 on tap in Hawaii? 2021 for the win. Not as boozy as I remember it.

I just realized I have a 120. Reached for a hopslam and thought it tasted off. This is first beer of day.

Thin, ivory head, translucent orange appearance, w/some roiling off-white sediment, a central bubble stream, & good deal of lacing. Nose- intense apricot marmalade and chutney. Taste- very sweet white bread crust, resinous hop oils, bitterness, & dry end.

Boozy. Very boozy front. A slight sweetness. Mellows to a hoppiness.

This review is based on a young bottle, 6/25/20. Opened and reviewed on 11/15/20. So Fresh!! Bourbon and sweet malt bomb, Sweet and heavy hops, sip, sip, sip. Aged 120 is the best thing you can do.

Boozy sweet awesomeness. Take your time, approach slowly. Needs a few minutes (but not 120 of them) after coming out of the fridge to fully open up. Worth the wait.

Imperial IPA 16% ABV 120 IBU as the label says The Imperial India Pale Ale. Always enjoy 120, have had many different vintages over the years consistently good !
