Perhaps, it's mostly suggestion, but I get mouthful of dark grape with the beer. It's a little sweet and definitely deep.

Oakey imperial stout with a bit of wine. A bit of berry jam on the finish. Less complex than I expected. But aged well and smoothbfor 5 years at 17'

Yummy full flavored beer with mountains of dark malty flavors. Smooth, filling and flavorful.

Jonathan N. Says the nose is like Welch's aged in oak barrels...and I agree. Mouthful of sweet juice with a surprisingly bright and vibrant body. Finish is a lingering essence of grape skin and it is not normal. Wow.

Chocolate, red wine, caramel, currant nose. Dark chocolate, tannin, molasses, dark grape.

Definitely should let this sit after pouring and warm up a bit.. strong flavored. Good beer if this is your style.
