Hops fell out due to barrel aging but still a nice overall flavor and reminder of that time Shawn G. split a bottle of Utopias with me.

Celebration! Go Lions! Pulled out a heavy hitter for the lions game. Surprisingly smooth for 17%. Tons of barrel on the nose and palate. Reminds me of founders doom but much better.

Perfect fall sip - boozy at 18% but best of both worlds. Always thought utopias was too syrupy and deep, this cuts it nicely. Drinks like a scotch ale.

Malt forward aromas with barrel aromas throughout. Heavy bodied. Strong malt forward flavors with sweet flavor notes. Boozy. Rich. Moderate hop bitterness flavors with resinous and citrus flavor notes. Raisin flavor notes. Linger sweet malty flavors.

Is it worth $9 a serving? I think so. I set down the glass & four small creatures took a dip. They all died instantly. More for me. Drinks like a brandy.

The nose of wood is CRAZY. Boozy raisins, honey, dark fruits, wood, caramel. Incredibly barleywine-y.

Wild!!! Definitely doesn’t taste like an IPA; more of like a port wine. More of a special occasion sipper rather than an everyday beer
