Shelter Pale Ale

Pale Ale - American

This is our original and most approachable beer. We got our start back in 1995 brewing this very beer on our teeny, tiny brewing system at Dogfish Head Brewing & Eats in Rehoboth Beach, Del. Brewed with a premium barley and northwestern Williamette and Columbus hops, Shelter Pale Ale has a fine malt backbone and a slightly nutty flavor. It's a versatile and quaffable beer.

Not sure if I'm old yet or if @dogfishbeer is old. But we both share the same birth year so at least we've got that going for us. Thin head and lighter in general. Nice citrus crisp to it and very crushable. Easy to see why this started it all for Sam.

Beer #4 from the Dogfish Head Continually Hopped Variety Pack. Nice carbonation and nothing offensive. The hops give off a mild to moderate grassy flavor. Definitely one of their lighter beers.
