This is brightly hoppy, but the malty undertones are balancing the intensity. The fusel strength is a a promise of a future mellowness.

Was able to compare side-by-side with 2016 and liked this one better (not as boozy).

FRAFOGB. Wildly boozie for an ipa but I'd like to try it again on it's own

National Drink Beer Day! Curious to see how this ages

Stars lose so I’m drinking extra heavy lol. This year’s DFH 120 is a unique variant that hits with a boozy, barrel aged sweetness and a very mild hop on the front but a strong piney bitterness on the back end.

At the source..... live Sam and his crew and all he’s done for beer and all of us! Second sip was fire!

From Sunday. I've always had a liking to this beer. Big, bold malt profile with balanced hops. I wouldn't age these beers to get the maximum hop flavors.

I’m starting to find there are better tasting ones out there

A+ One of the few things saving 2020 from being a complete train-on-fire-going-off-a-cliff.

BD 7/10/20 caramel, citrus, bright, resin, peach, some old books but it’s nice, ok head retention just not huge, maybe a bit astringent aspirin finish but juicy as all get out. Never had anything like this before

Used to be something I looked forward to. Now it's a challenge to drink. The harsh abv is no longer a fun novelty. Needs more balance.

More tolerable than years past due to the lower ABV. Still tastes like poison, needs some age

Had to pick some of this up when in Knoxville last Saturday. As good as I remember it being.
