Fou’ Foune (2022) Melgar

From Saturday. The best fresh Fou' Foune I've had. Very fuzzy stone fruit on the palate. Nice acidity.

Lou Pepe Kriek (2011) Melgar

From Saturday. This is peak fruit! Insanely fruity with a balance of funk. So drinkable.

Lou Pepe Kriek (2001) Melgar

From Saturday. A very nice tick, but unfortunately the fruit is gone. Even the funk was off from this. Passed its prime IMO.

Mikkeller Oude Geuze (Old Calvados Casks Blend) Melgar

Tonight, this is hitting the spot. We've been having spring-like weather, and this is a refresher from the bourbons/stouts. The funk is more pronounced than when I had this in 2018. Getting a tad berry notes on the finish. This is going to age well.

Utopias Barrel - Aged World Wide Stout (2021) Melgar

Definitely has the WWS characteristic. Cacao, hint of smoke, wood, cherry and caramel.

Lou Pepe Framboise (2013) Melgar

Still carbed, but the fruit is fantastic while still maintaining that funk. This particular bottle will age well.

Classic Gueuze (2016) Melgar

From Saturday. Still tasting young, but the hops and oak are strong in this. Funk is still minimal. Apples.

120 Minute IPA (2020) Melgar

From Sunday. I've always had a liking to this beer. Big, bold malt profile with balanced hops. I wouldn't age these beers to get the maximum hop flavors.
