Strange puzzle - very disappointing- seems like it has aged like Benjamin Button - I remember it was drinkable when first bottled…. it now tastes raw and unruly (even after giving it 6+ hours to breathe). It’s just not good.

Have been aging it, a bit inadvertently, for about 4 years. Nicer than I expected. Quite sweet, but not as sweet as I thought it would be. Has clearly mellowed a little bit with time. Full body, slightly bitter.

Vanilla shines through yet it still doesn’t cover the booze. Menu/can says this is 18%. Gotta share this with others.

This has aged well, but should have sat another 2 years I think. Molasses to dark chocolate then some drying with the oak and the vanilla comes in as well with a touch of bitterness on the very ending. Enjoyed this more than last time I had 4.3.

3 out of 3 in the tasting. Decadent, but the sweetness was a bit much.

This has aged really well, grabbed a few discount bottles from a shop that has changed owners. Vanilla, oak and a robust stout, touch of smoke and dark coffee in the finish.

Let this baby age for a while. Not too boozy flavor. Still strong on the vanilla notes. Amazeballs

Quite tasty, notes of toffee, chocolate and tannins, almost a vinous syrupy quality, a touch of tobacco all swimming in sweet vanilla - exceptional finish, hides the ABV well.

Fantastic stuff from Dogfish Head-hard to believe the ABV on this with how smooth it is. 4 years aging suits it well.

Age helped this tremendously, doesn’t drink nowhere near as hot, excellent.
