Red & White

Wheat Beer - Witbier

A big, belgian-style Wit brewed with coriander and orange peel and fermented with Pinot Noir juice. After fermentation a fraction of the batch is aged in Oregon Pinot Noir barrels, and another fraction is aged on oak staves. The beer is blended together before packaging. This has been one of our most popular Limited Edition beers at both our Rehoboth Beach, DE brewpub and at festivals. It successfully marries the refreshing citrusy qualities of a Belgian-style white beer with the robust complexity of a bold red wine.

Yo, best wine style beer I’ve had. Everything white without the dryness. That’s where a touch of a sweet red balances that. Very well done. Look forward to this again.

I love this beer. One of my favorites from Dogfish Head. It has a bit of a fruity taste without being over powering.

Grapes. Too much like a wine. Not your best performance. Sorry.

Flowery aroma, belgian taste, with just a smidgen of citrusy sour. Yummy! Don't know how this ended up in my beer fridge, but thanks beer gnome!

Just the smell is wonderful, then you taste all the different sweetness with a bitter finish pretty good 🍻

Probably just too much age on this one and it has lost a lot of it's magic.
